ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Joe Searcy is a paralegal with the Public Defender's Office. He and his wife Patti lived at Camp Williams in the Angeles National Forest between 1982 and 1988 while they were both in their twenties. The Importance of Rattlesnakes chronicles the characters they met while mountain dwellers . It seems hard to imagine this time just before cell phones and personal computers. Harder still to imagine that all the folks in this book actually existed. This was a once in a lifetime experience, meaning once you do it, you don't want to do it again.
